Emma at the park

Miss Emma decided to enjoy the sunshine and go to the park. She had a great time. She loved playing with the sand. She'd pick it up and let it run through her fingers, then look up at us and smile. What a cutie!!! She's getting her top teeth in, but you can finally start to see her two front ones. I was actually able to get a picture of her showing them. She saw me pull out the camera and tried crawling in my lap to get to the camera and POOF I caught it. BTW the look of terror on her face on the last picture is her going down the little slide by herself. I hope everyone has a great day. Don't know how long it will be before I post again. I may actually post more tonight if I can get some good pictures of Erik and Emma playing with the box. They have such fun together with that box.

A good bye party

As most of you don't know, I'm getting a breast reduction surgery this Friday. WOOHOO!!! I've been wanting one for a long time while the rest of the world (it seems) is dying to get bigger. So I thought I'd have a little goodbye party for them and show you all the before pictures in case you couldn't remember how huge they were. LOL. So wish me luck and keep me in your prayers for a good surgery and fast recovery with no complications.

She's finally done it

These are the pics I wanted to post on the empty blog but it wouldn't let me the other day. Need I say more. Once she got out the door she took off crawling like a bat out of hell. BTW the reason Vern's hand is there is because he needed the camera to get the progression and of course we couldn't open the door.

Vegas baby!

I went to Vegas this week with my sis-in-law and my dear, dear friend Jean and a girl from her work. We went to the Thunder from down under Wednesday night and then had all day Thursday. So not enough time. I put so many stinking miles on my feet that I should be skinny by now. We parked at the Paris around noon on Thursday and didn't get back to the car to head to the hotel until 1am. We had fun so that's all that mattered. I missed by baby girl so much. I don't know what I'm going to do when she's gonna be gone for 2 weeks up to Oregon this summer. I'm already trying to figure out ways so she can stay with me. I was hoping to post more pictures of the girls in Vegas but I'm horrible about taking pictures and the ones Jean sent me are too big and I don't know how to make them smaller or if I can and Vern's sleeping. ( He's the computer guru). This one is me and my friend Jean waiting for the show to begin. FYI the thunder guys don't sign skin. I tried on a dare. Karie, you still owe me a drink for that.
Sorry about my last post guys. I was going to post some pictures of Emma and the picture thing was down or something and wouldn't let and I had to leave for work (and vegas the next morning) and accidentally posted an empty message.

Emma's adventures

Emma had a fun day yesterday. She heard her brothers out riding the quads after school and tried everything she could to get to them. She even ventured further out the doggie door than normal. I think it's almost time to lock up the door or leave the gate to the kitchen up.
1st she tried looking out the door.
2nd she tried climbing out the dog door.
Finally I took her outside so she could see them.

Happy Birthday Erik

Yesterday was Erik's 11th birthday. My babies are all growing so fast. We had a pretty low key day. We went out to lunch at Red Robin. Then Vern and Erik went out to Bull Dog Canyon to go riding. He got a 150 cc quad for his birthday. We upgraded his 90 cc one because he was getting to big for it. He is such a good rider. He was practicing on the jumps we have in the back yard. He was getting some pretty good air. We tried to get some pictures of it but they were pretty blurry. Then we had some cake and ice cream after dinner.

Emma's weekends

The past two weekends have been busy ones for Emma. Last weekend (which I was too busy to blog about) we had a yard cleaning day. Vern rented a tomcat and cleaned out the wash while the rest of us got rid of trash and trimmed trees, etc. Emma sat and supervised it all. She was so good. She got a little crabby towards the end because she had been "ignored" all day. We got alot done but there is so much more to do. The list never ends.
I need to have a garage sale so I can get rid of even more stuff then we'll have room in storage for some of Vern's stuff. He really needs a shop then that way I don't have to look at his junk. It's a good thing we don't live in an HOA. They would kick us out. We traded our boat this week for another dune buggy. The new one will fit Vern and I comfortably. It was very sad to see the boat go but we rarely ever used it. The dune buggy however will get alot of use out of it. Vern got it up and running so him, Emma and I took it for a stroll around the yard and the block. She absolutely loved it. Even when we went over the big bumps. She was kicking her legs ninety to nothing and squelling with delight. She'll be driving the quads and dune buggies by the time she's 3 at the rate she's going now. She has been riding since she was in utero.
