As most of you know Emma is pretty much potty trained. So I can take her out in public with panties and rarely have an issue. Our trip to the store the other day started out normal. I took Emma potty before we left. My sister did make a comment that she hadn't pooped yet. No big deal Emma will tell me if she has to go potty when we're in public. My sis and I do our grocery shopping and we're up to check out. Emma is out of the cart because Tiffanee is and I didn't want a fit. So I go to get Emma who's standing next to the candy display and notice something at her feet that looks like she has stepped in. I go to move her and see it's coming from her( she has a dress on). So I tell my sis stay with my purse, pay for my stuff I've gotta take Emma to the bathroom. So I'm carrying her away from me obviously and head to the back of the store ( where they used to keep bathrooms and I don't make a habit of going) and noone is around so I'm walking around hollering for someone since I see no bathroom. I finally find and eployee who tells me the bathroom is up front on the opposite side of the store. Go figure! By now my arms are tired so I put Emma on her belly in my arms and am carrying her through the store with crap all down her legs and all over her dress. People are looking at me strangely and I'm laughing because I couldn't cry. We finally get to the bathroom and what do they have but this teeny tiny sink and I'm thinking how do I get her clean. I tried to put her in it but she would have gotten poop all over the counter so I stand her back on the ground and take off her shoes and wash them out first. I strip her down and threw away the panties ( what a surprise they'll get when they change the bag) I stand her back in the sink and scrup her down about half way through this young pregnant girl walks in and sees us in the sink. I make a joke about seeing what she gets to look forward to. So I've finally got all the poop off and realize I have nothing for Emma to wear and no way to get ahold of my sis to get the diaper bag. So I put her shoes back on and balance her on my hip with my arm around her butt so noone can see her butt crack and we beat feet out the store me laughing hysterically and Emma happy as a clam in the mud because she' naked.
Moral of the story "bring the diaper bag into the store with you or put a diaper on if they haven't pooped yet today."

Emma's bikini
Finally got her to sit still by telling her I had candy
Doing her calisthenics
Just a quick post to update. All is normal here. Can't saw well because we have a teenager. LOL. I was out shopping today for Brooklyn's birhtday present and came across this adorable little bikini and had to buy it for Emma. It's dangerous shopping for little people, especially girls. I always end up spending more than I need to and that's after talking myself out of most of it. She loves it and had to put it on the minute she saw. She wore it to nap in and still has it on. Hopefully we can get it off for bed tonight.

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy mother's day to all my wonderful friends and family who are moms'. I still think we should get a whole week because of all we do....especially when we have teenagers. We went out to the lake yesterday to ride the jetski's. Everyone had a good time, even Colin who BITCHED all the way out there. Emma was a little crabby and clingy. Do you know how hot it is when it's 100 degrees and you have a child who only wants to be held by you? I had to keep reminding myself that one day she would most likely go through a stage where she wouldn't want anything to do with me and I should treasure it.
Today the plan is to do what I want. I'm supposed to pick where I want to eat and still don't have a clue. Erik with his sweet self brought me "breakfast" in bed. Colin hmpfed at me. Ungrateful little cuss! Hopefully someday he'll realize all I do for him. Despite all the negative things regarding being a mom it can't outweigh all the wonderful things. Holding that sweet precious baby for the first time, wiping the tears when they fall down and scrap their little knees, hearing them say your name for the first time, when they come to you because they have a problem and they know you can fix it or make it better. I wouldn't trade this job/calling for anything in the world!!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful day. Mom thank you for everything! I love you!
